John A. Krier

John Krier has a broad-based healthcare industry background that includes business strategy, financial leadership, regulatory compliance, operations management and technology development for medical device manufacturers, disease management firms, healthcare providers and pharmaceutical companies. He has served both in-house in roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, as well as the role of outside expert providing guidance for more than eight years in various positions at Deloitte and Touche and most recently as an independent consultant. John is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in California and Minnesota and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota and California State Board of Accountancies.

Michael Kisthardt

Michael Kisthardt brings nearly two decades of durable medical equipment industry experience to Viscent’s senior management team. Having served as General Manager for Oklahoma-based Echelon Medical and The Brace Place before their acquisition by Viscent’s parent company United Orthopedic Group in 2008, Michael possesses a unique inside perspective as to what products and services can transform an orthotic practice.

"We're able to offer growing orthotic and orthopedic groups proven tools and business practices developed based on years of experience in the field," explains Michael. "I’ve played many roles in DME businesses throughout my career – a trainer teaching managers nationwide to use IT systems for service delivery and operational management, an accounts receivable manager responsible for more than $30 million in annual collections, a branch manager tasked with turning a losing operation to a positive one, a general manager responsible for every aspect of operations, a VP of revenue management overseeing large equity transactions, and a Chief Information Officer for a home healthcare product provider with 26 branch offices. Together with the other industry veterans that make up the Viscent team, I’ve been able to apply every single lesson I learned ‘in the trenches’ to create solutions that optimize how businesses operate at every level, increasing profitability. Our methods guarantee that our practices and clients are more profitable than they could be alone. There is no reward quite like helping a practice realize its potential."

Tammy Wood

Vice President of Operations

During her 15-year tenure in the healthcare industry, Tammy Wood has built a broad-based reimbursement knowledge of providers, payors, and regional insurance coordination; insight into compliance issues; and an in-depth understanding of practice management, practice development and operations.

"It's very exciting to be part of the Viscent team because our services are truly helping practices realize their full potential," says Tammy. "Personally, I'm passionate about providing the kind of healthcare that improves the  overall quality of peoples lives. It's my job to help Viscent's practices and clients realize that vision by developing processes and finding efficiencies that streamline the organization and enable us all to do a better job for our patients."

Tammy is also an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Case Management Society of America.

Cynthia Henderson, OTC, CO

Cynthia Henderson has been an orthopedic allied health professional for more than three decades. Actively involved since 1984 in leadership roles in The National Association of Orthopaedic Technologists, the American Academy of Orthopeadic Surgeons Allied Health Group, the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, the Orthotics and Prosthetics Association of Oklahoma and the Orthopedic Trauma Association, Cynthia has been at the industry forefront. She is a sought-after lecturer on issues of casting/splinting and coding, and her “casting skills” program is still taught to practitioners across the United States.

"Through my involvement in various industry associations, I've had the good fortune to be able to share my experiences and skills as an orthopaedic allied health professional with audiences across the world," says Cynthia. "I love to teach. That's why what we're doing at Viscent is so rewarding to me – everyday helping others in our industry learn how to deliver the best care and have the most successful practices possible."

Jason J. LeVasseur

With more than a decade in sales, marketing, and customer service support in the medical device industry, Jason LeVasseur has earned a reputation for providing successful training programs to individual sales representatives and developing winning sales management strategies that create successful distributors. Jason is putting those skills to work — together with his performance-leading experience in establishing account relationships in new territories, fostering territory growth and product expertise — on behalf of Viscent’s practices and clients.

"I have been in the medical industry for most of my professional career and have learned a great deal about what sets the best organizations apart," explains Jason. "The direction Viscent is taking is very exciting — combining a progressive team approach, innovative ideas, and a level of commitment to meeting the customers needs that I haven’t seen anywhere else in the industry. I feel fortunate to be able to lend my experience to help make Viscent's vision a reality."
